"A Tale of Two Cities" Virtual Exhibition Launches on ArtesvilleUSA.com
On the first anniversary of Hurricane Helene and the 20th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, the New Orleans Academy of Fine Arts has invited Asheville’s artists to join with New Orleans artists in reflecting on nature’s devastating fury and the process required to rebuild cultural assets and human connection in the wake of natural disaster.
"A Tale of Two Cities" is the culimination of this joint reflection.
On display at the Academy (5256 Magazine Street, New Orlean, LA) from September 13 to November 8, this show tells the stories of these two cities as they navigate the aftermath of disaster and utilize art as a tool for power, community, and remembrance.
