Free Monoprinting Demo with Frances Swigart

On April 14th at 1:00 PM, Frances Swigart will present a free, one-hour monoprinting demonstration at The Academy in the printmaking building. Whether you’re an abstract painter or drawn to figurative imagery, you’ll enjoy the spontaneity of monoprinting. Each unique print evolves from the subtle glaze left on the plate by the previous impression, allowing images to build on one another. Beginning with a reference, each new monoprint carries a “shadow” of what came before, supporting the development of the next piece and naturally creating a connected series over time.
