"A Tale of Two Cities" Speaker Series

Join NOAFA on the evening of Saturday, September 13, for the second installation of the "A Tale of Two Cities" Speaker Series, featuring live discussions with Phil Sandusky, Tina Freeman, and Steven Bingler.

Opening on September 13, 2025—a date strategically situated between the 20th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina and the first anniversary of Hurricane Helene—"A Tale of Two Cities" commemorates the shared experiences and lessons of New Orleans and Asheville as they navigate the aftermath of climate-related disaster. Through this exhibition, artists will create a dialogue between the two cities, exploring themes of rebirth and the power of art to foster hope and recovery.

The exhibition's associateed speaker series will provide curators, artists, and show supporters with the opportunity to share insight and personal perspective on their work and the impact of "A Tale of Two Cities" as a collective body of art.

The September 13 Speaker Series event is free and open to the public; it will lead into the exhibition's opening night (also free and open to the public), which will officially kickoff at 5:00 PM.
