Where the Sky Begins: Chasing the Light - Erin Orlowski


Light is ever changing, transforming landscapes from one moment to the next. In this workshop, artists will explore how shifting light shapes color, atmosphere, and mood within the landscape.
Prerequisties: Skies and Scenes in soft Pastels Workshop or experience working with soft pastels
Designed for students with previous pastel experience, this workshop combines short demonstrations and individual instruction with independent painting time as participants develop one landscape painting over three weeks. Working from personal photos or instructor provided images, students will learn to observe the subtle relationships between sky and land as they create a unique landscape that celebrates the changing light of the sky.

Erin Orlowski grew up in rural Illinois. As a child, she loved to create. That passion continued throughout her life, leading her to an Art degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
