Watercolor Painting Still Life (Beginning & Intermediate) - Sean Friloux


This class is for both beginner and intermediate watercolor painters.
Through the use of objects in various compositions, students will learn to observe three dimensional objects and translate them into two-dimensional works of art.
Composition, color, and various painting techniques will be discussed. Intermediate students will receive instruction and guidance based on their interests and level of proficiency.
SUPPLY LIST
- Palette (aluminum or plastic watercolor palette)
- Small sketchpad
- HB pencil and kneaded eraser
Watercolor Paper:
- 140lb (300gsm) cold-press or hot-press (size 9x12 or 11x14, Arches brand recommended)
Brushes:
- Round brushes (size 6, 8, 10)
- Flat brush
- Fine-point liner brush
- Mop brush (size 10, 8)
Watercolor Paints – Daniel Smith recommended:
- Hansa Yellow Medium
- Pyrrol Red
- Aussie Red Gold
- Pyrrol Orange
- Quinnacridone Violet
- Raw Umber
- Prussian Blue
- Manganese Blue Hue
