This class focuses on alla prima painting, a wet-on-wet technique where layers of wet paint are applied on top of each other before drying. The technique emphasizes speed and decisiveness, allowing for the completion of a painting in a single session.

Gus has shown his work all over the country; most notably in Philadelphia, New York, and New Orleans. His most recent solo show was at the Blue House in New Orleans. Most days you can find Gus somewhere around Bayou St. John painting on site.
