Spoon Jewelry Workshop - Molly McNamara


In this workshop, we will explore some basic metalsmithing skills which will allow us to transform a sterling silver spoon into something to wear on your finger, wrist, neck or ears. Join this workshop if you would like to repurpose a functional object into your latest favorite piece of jewelry for yourself or as a special gift.
Techniques will include:
-Sawing/piercing
-Bending
-Hammering
-Soldering (optional)
Cabochon stone setting (optional)
Supply List:
-Pencil and paper for sketching
-One or more sterling silver spoons
-You may also want to buy some sterling silver spoons at a local silver/antique shop.
-Brass Keys and souvenir spoons can also work as long as they are not stainless steel.
