Introduction to Relief Painting - Dyson Bergeron

An introduction to relief printing and the printing press. This class will focus on the process of designing, carving, inking, and printing your own relief prints.

Through demonstrations and guided lessons you will learn to utilize shape, texture, and negative/positive space to create striking prints. You will also be given the chance to become more familiar with the printing press and the process of printing editions.

The option of linoleum or wood will be available for carving.

No previous experience is needed.

Supplies: Printing paper, relief printing ink, Lino/wood carving tools, gloves, apron, linoleum/wood block
