Oil Supplies

If working in oil, it is recommended that students purchase or bring:

  • Linseed Oil
  • Turpenoid
  • Palette knife, diamond shape ideally
  • Palette with palette paper

Oil Paints

  • Ultramarine Blue
  • Raw Umber
  • Alizarin Crimson
  • Lemon Yellow
  • Yellow Ochre
  • Burnt Sienna
  • Titanium White

Canvases and Canvas Boards

  • Assorted sizes
  • No smaller than 11x14”
  • No larger than 40x60”

Brushes

  • Assortment of straight edge brushes
  • Round and filbert brushes
  • A variety of large and small brushes

Additional Materials

  • Rags
  • Paper towels

Drawing Media Supplies

If working in drawing media, it is recommended that students bring:

  • Pastel drawing set, assorted colors
  • Vine charcoal, medium and soft only
  • Compressed charcoal
  • Assortment of drawing pencils, HB through 4B
  • Conte crayons, assorted
  • Bristol pad

Acrylic Supplies

If working in acrylic, it is recommended that students bring:

  • Gloss Medium
  • Retarder Medium

Acrylic Paints

  • Ultramarine Blue
