Experience with Soft Pastels - Erin Orlowski


Continue your pastel journey and deepen your understanding of landscapes and skies in this second-level workshop designed for returning students.
Building on the foundations from the first class, we’ll move beyond the basics to explore:
- More nuanced color
- Richer layering
- A stronger sense of light and atmosphere
Over the course of our workshop, we’ll focus on:
- Developing more dynamic compositions
- Working with more complex cloud formations
- Capturing the fleeting qualities of light across land and water
Through guided demonstrations and individualized feedback, you’ll expand your skills while also exploring your artistic voice.
Supplies:
- Previous pastels from Skies and Scenes class
- Additional supplies will be purchased for this class and students will be charged a fee
Prerequisite:
- Skies & Scenes in Pastel

Erin Orlowski grew up in rural Illinois. As a child, she loved to create. That passion continued throughout her life, leading her to an Art degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
