Digital Phtography for Beginners - Helen Reed


This course discusses the mechanics of image making in the digital format.
You will learn how to properly expose an image using:
- Aperture
- Shutter speed
- ISO
The course also covers the characteristics of these controls and how they translate visually.
Students will discuss and practice:
- The elements of composition as they pertain to photography
- How to create aesthetically pleasing images
You will also identify:
- Very basic editing functions found in simple editing programs
- Basic workflow practices
- File delivery methods
Class lectures and images will be available through Google Drive. A printed copy of most materials can be requested.
Note-taking is encouraged.

- Laptop or tablet
