Prerequisite: Beginning Drawing

Class Description

This drawing course focuses on using charcoal in observational drawing of objects from life, as well as landscapes and interiors from photographs.

Through a series of exercises, students will become familiar with fundamental techniques necessary to translate values and textures of forms and spaces to a two-dimensional surface, and to achieve effective compositions and mood through abstraction and simplification.
