Beginning/Intermediate Oil Painting - Rebecca MaduraBeginning/Intermediate Oil Painting - Rebecca Madura

This class is designed for both beginners and more experienced painters and is geared for anyone who wants to expand their understanding of painting.

We will investigate what color is and how to mix color using a limited palette.

Working mostly from studio set-ups, we will explore various applications and techniques using oil paint through observation associated with realistic painting, especially honing perceptual skills in the translation of three-dimensional forms to two-dimensional surfaces.

The basic elements of color, drawing, value, volume, space, texture, and overall composition will be explored.

We will develop an understanding of color relationships and the interactions of colors. Intermediate and more advanced students will receive individualized instruction and guidance based on their interests, goals, and experience level.
