Beginning Drawing: Foundations - Piki Mendizabal

This course introduces the fundamentals of drawing through observation and practice. Students will learn line, shape, value, proportion, perspective, composition, and basic figure drawing while working with graphite, charcoal, and other traditional drawing materials. No previous experience is required.

Materials for Drawing Classes (Beginning Drawing & Creative Drawing) * Drawing pad (18” x 24” recommended) * Sketchbook * Graphite pencils (2H, HB, 2B, 4B, 6B) * Vine charcoal and compressed charcoal * White vinyl eraser * Kneaded eraser * Pencil sharpener * Blending stumps or tortillons * Ruler * Masking tape * Portfolio for storing drawings
