In this course, we’ll cover many foundational principles andtechniques to gain a firm grounding in the art of Drawing.
Students will draw from a variety of subjects and learn comparative measurement, how to use plumb lines, execute block-ins, find terminator lines and model form a.k.a. render.
The juicy fun stuff.
There will be class discussions, demos and personalized critiques.
Supplies: 18” x 24” Strathmore Sketchbook (Do NOT use Newsprint) 6B, 2B, B, 2H & 4H Graphite Pencils (Any Brand) Kneaded Eraser 150 Grit Piece of Sandpaper Measuring Stick (shish kebab skewer is fine) Plumb Line (Appx 3’ String with weight attached to one end) Utility Knife for sharpening Drawing Board (or similar rigid support)
