Acrylic Painting Still Life (Beginning & Intermediate) - Sean Friloux

This class is for both beginner and intermediate acrylic painters.

Through the use of objects in various compositions, students will learn to observe three dimensional objects and translate them into two-dimensional works of art.

Composition, color, and various painting techniques will be discussed. Intermediate students will receive instruction and guidance based on their interests and level of proficiency.

SUPPLY LIST

• Palette (wooden or acrylic)
• Brushes – short handled rounds and flats: #3, #4, #6, #8 (synthetic is fine)

Acrylic Paints (no student grade; Golden makes a set):

• Cadmium Yellow Light
• Yellow Ochre
• Burnt Umber
• Cadmium Red Light
• Ultramarine Blue
• Ivory Black
• Titanium White
• Brush soap
• Small sketchpad
• 2B or 4B pencil
• 2 – 9 x 12 canvases (level two or better) to start
