Instructor: Lyle Colombo
The drawings left behind by the Old Masters are an invaluable resource for all students, from those just learning to draw to those honing their skills. Each meeting will begin with short, guided exercises in drawing and a review of the basic design elements of the visual arts. The main portion of the class meeting will be spent analyzing old master drawings and learning how to integrate the lessons that they teach into our own work. The class will culminate in a portrait in sanguine, white, and black Conté crayon. This course is suitable for all skill levels; no prior drawing experience is needed.
