First time clay learners will be exploring all things hand building to exercise their fine motor skills in this introduction to clay and ceramics.
In this course, we will be utilizing kid friendly tools and developing attention to craft and form for these one of a kind art works! Color will be introduced at the end with the addition of underglaze to give our work a vivacious finished look.
Each class will center around a theme to create a cohesive idea by the end of the class.
*Please note ceramics requires two firings of your child’s work: one to bisque fire (or make the clay solid) and two to glaze clear over your child’s painting. Some pieces may take longer to dry and fire, please expect to pick up their final pieces 1-2 weeks after the final class.
Please have your child bring their own water bottle. Art clothes & snacks are welcome.
Supplies: All art supplies will be provided.
